Edwardian Peacock Hat - Etsy。Here is a fabulous old hat for riding sidesaddle or promenading in a smart day jacket and skirt. (See my other listings for late Victorian black jackets and skirts, and a Gibson Girl shirtwaist/blouse.) This special hat has a soft, perky black plume and a peacock feather. To keep this on in a breeze or while riding, there\'s an elastic to stretch under your chin or below your chignon. The hat band of black silk ties into a large bow, and the front features black netting. This sweet hat has its original \"Draper, 5th Ave. NY\" and \"Meier & Frank\" labels inside. SIZE is adjustable, as it\'s placed on top of the hairstyle. Look up \"Gibson Girl\" if you like. GOOD condition vintage. The netting is imperfect, but can be repaired with a few stitches. (I\'m a costume designer for theater and opera, and I\'m gradually releasing items from my vintage and costume collections. In my closet, you\'ll find many unique pieces--with more to come!
